SETTING UP A MAIL ACCOUNT IN NETSCAPE

Before you set up your Mail Account in Netscape, please make sure that you have obtained an email account from NKTELCO. This is the same email account that is used at http://www.nktelco.net/linkemurl.htm

If you do not know your email address or password please contact NKTELCO for assistance.

Open Netscape
Click on Edit and Preferences
The following screen should appear

Here you need to click on Mail & Newsgroups if it is not already selected then Identity once with you left mouse button and you will see the following screen

Here you should enter your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing messages

Then you should enter your email address such as username@nktelco.netnet. This is the same as the email address that you use to access your email account at http://www.nktelco.net/linkemurl.htm

One again you should enter your email address in the Reply to address line.

Next you should click on Mail Servers on the left side on the screen and you should see the following screen

Within the Outgoing Mail Server group you should enter mailserver.nktelco.net into the Outgoing mail (SMTP} server line.

Then Click on Add and a new screen will appear

Within this screen you need to enter mailserver.nktelco.net into the Server Name line

Next you will select POP3 Server from the drop down list box for Server Type. Please make sure that this is POP3.

For User Name you should enter your email address such as username@nktelco.net. This is the same as the email address that you use to access your email account at http://www.nktelco.net/linkemurl.htm

Then make sure that the Remember password checkbox is checked

Click OK

You have successfully set up you mail account for Netscape

To begin using this account Click on Communicator at the top of the screen and then Messenger
