Thousands Across Ohio Denied Access to Watch State Games

Congratulations to the New Bremen Cardinals Girls Volleyball State Champions! Also, good luck to the Minster Wildcats and the Marion Local Flyers football teams appearing at State. What great seasons, and NKTelco wanted to pass on how fun it is to follow a team to State in any sport.

Some of you have asked, “why NKTelco did not film and/or broadcast the final championship games?” The short answer is that a couple years ago the OHSAA decided to place out for bid the exclusive rights to the semi-final and final matches in all sports. This decision prevents NKTelco from filming or broadcasting the schools that are local to the communities we are providing service to when they compete for the State Championship. Otherwise we film as many of the local teams as possible up to the final  games.

NKTelco has had several conversations with event director Mr. Tim Stried from the OHSAA about the fact that they sold the rights to a cable company that restricts the distribution for our customers rather than a broadcast provider with full state distribution.
